The Environmental Risk Insurance covers damages to Natural Resources, such as destruction, degradation, adverse alteration, including the consequent loss of value or usefulness of fauna and flora, ecosystems and natural habitats, soil, subsoil, atmosphere, surface waters, groundwater, coastal waters, fresh water supplies and other similar resources. As such, it covers the loss of use of assets with or without title. The coverage also extends to personal (bodily and psychological) and property damages resulting from sudden and gradual pollution to third parties, without time restriction. The costs of cleaning and containment of pollutants and the legal costs of the insured’s defense will also be covered.
